ENG101 final presentation grading rubric

Appropriate dress, professional presentation style: 25 points
Introduction, organization of slides, clear conclusion: 25 points
New information, chart or graph: 15 points
Correct grammar, mechanics: 20 points
Jan. 3 preparation: 15 points

POINTS will be deducted if students do not have some semblance of a project emailed or on a jump drive on Jan. 3.

Printed copies of slides due first of class Jan. 7, presenters will be drawn randomly the night before.

Presentations are 10 minutes, include 10-12 slides, title, intro and reference page do not count towards the total.

FONT Arial or Helvetica. NO Times New Roman.

No more than 6-8 words per line.

Bullet points follow the 6x6 rule. One thought per line, six words per line and six lines per slide.

Limit graphics, photos and cartoons.

Create one original chart or graph from sources discussed in class (nOAA.gov, census.gov, inflation calculator).

Use correct spelling and grammar.

SCHEDULE:

Jan. 3,4,5,6= complete presentations
Jan. 7,10, 11, 12 do presentations
